24-year-old woman missing, in-laws report; Husband's father raped her, then killed her and buried her

 

 

Faridabad: It was finally discovered that the woman who went missing two months ago was murdered by her husband's family. The man himself revealed to the police that the husband's father raped the 24-year-old before killing her. After the murder, the husband and father threw the body in a ten-foot deep pit, covered it with earth and built a slab on top.

The woman, a native of Shikohabad in Firozabad, was brought to Faridabad in marriage in July 2023. Since then, the woman had been constantly harassed over dowry. Meanwhile, her husband's father had filed a complaint with the police on April 25, saying that the woman was missing. The investigation into this case finally brought the murder, rape and dowry harassment to the outside world.

The plan to kill the woman was hatched on April 14. As part of this, the husband's mother was sent to a wedding function in Uttar Pradesh. This was done to avoid the case. Later, on the night of April 21, the woman's husband gave the woman and his sister at home food mixed with sleeping pills. They slept in different rooms on two floors of the house that night.

When she was unconscious, the husband's father entered the room to kill the woman. He confessed that he had raped the woman before killing her. After killing her, he called his son to the room. Together, the two took the body and dumped it in a ten-foot deep pit that he had prepared himself. After filling the pit with bricks and soil, a concrete slab was built on top a few days later.

Neighbors said that a ten-foot deep pit had been dug a few days ago, saying that it was to drain the sewage from the house. The pit was dug with an earthmoving machine. The neighbors also saw this. After burying the body at night without anyone knowing, they filed a complaint with the police saying that the woman was missing. The body was partially decomposed and the police have recovered it. The remains have been sent for postmortem.

A case has been registered against the woman's husband, her husband's father, mother and sister. The sister said that the woman was subjected to brutal dowry harassment soon after her marriage. Unable to bear the harassment, the woman returned to her home after a few months. She returned after a year.
