California: YouTube has made a big change in its live streaming policy. From now on, only those who have completed 16 years of age can live stream from the channel. Earlier, this age limit was 13 years. That is, now YouTubers between the ages of 13 and 15 will have to seek adult help to live stream. Reports say that this new rule will come into effect from July 22.

If a YouTuber under the age of 16 wants to live stream, an adult is now mandatory. YouTube's new guidelines also state that that adult can be the editor, manager or owner of the YouTube channel.

This change will lead to the trend of more families live streaming together on YouTube. Since children under 16 are not allowed to livestream alone, parents or guardians will have to handle technical controls. They will also have to monitor their children during the livestream. YouTube believes that this will help create a new digital connection between children and parents. Live streaming together by family members will not only ensure the safety of children, but will also become a new digital way to spend time together. This change will benefit families who use YouTube as a creative platform. This new rule by YouTube will also help protect children from cyberbullying and the harm caused by live chat with strangers.
