Survey finds Canadians have a declining pro-American view. The survey shows that the percentage of Canadians who have a favorable view of the United States has decreased amid months of tariffs and taunts from US President Donald Trump.

According to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center, a third of Canadians, or 34 percent, now have a favorable view of the United States. This is 20 percentage points less than last year. About the same percentage also have favorable views of China. The survey also found that the number of people who have a favorable view of China has increased by 13 percentage points since last year. The Pew survey was conducted with the participation of people in 25 countries. It was found that positive opinions of China increased in more than half of these countries. The number of people who support Chinese President Xi Jinping has also increased.
