Trump says he can broker ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia

 

 

 

US President Donald Trump said he could broker a ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia, just as he brokered a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. President Trump made the remarks after a trade deal between the US and the European Union. EU President Ursula von der Leyen was also present.

We trade with Thailand and Cambodia. Yet I read that they are attacking each other… Trump said that I am saying that things should be easy for me because I brokered a deal between India and Pakistan. I called the prime ministers of both countries and said we will not do any trade deal until you resolve the war. Now I think they are ready to do a deal,' he said. Trump said it would be an honor for him if he could bring about a ceasefire through trade.

The US president has reiterated that he brokered the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. However, India has been denying these claims. India says the ceasefire agreement was signed between the two countries after Pakistan's initiative.
