Experts say that if you lose your Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) card, you should take immediate action. If you lose the card, you should first file a police complaint. Then, you can apply for a duplicate card online on the Indian government's OCI Miscellaneous Services portal. The fee is $100 if you are applying from the US, and ₹5,170 if you are from India.

A new photograph, signature, and required documents should be uploaded online. Later, a printed copy of the application and the original documents should be sent to the nearest Indian mission, post, or FRRO. Usually, you will get a duplicate OCI card within a month. The OCI card is the main document for overseas Indian origin people to stay and travel in India without a visa. It helps in owning property other than agricultural land and staying for long periods without registering with the FRRO.
If you are in the US, applications should be submitted through VFS. In Canada, applications can be submitted through BLS International; The total cost will be approximately 140 Canadian dollars. Each country's embassy website will provide different instructions. You can check the website of the Indian mission in your area for fees, documents, and submission method.
