Instagram introduces new feature to link reels of the same nature to create a series

 

 

Instagram has introduced a 'Series' feature that allows content creators to link multiple reels. Using this feature, multiple reel videos can be linked together and presented as a series. With this update, Instagram aims to make it easier for viewers to follow and discover related content in reels. This move is part of Instagram's efforts to improve the user experience and keep viewers on the platform longer. It helps users keep track of series without scrolling through the content creator's feed.

Some creators make reel videos in series. But currently, it is difficult to easily find which reel videos belong to a series. With the arrival of the new feature, videos belonging to a series can be linked to each other. Content creators can link reels to one another based on their background, subject, etc. The linking feature can be used on new reels and reels already shared with friends and followers. However, the new feature won't allow you to link subscriber-only reels.

How do I link a reel?

1. An option to link a reel will appear below the reel's caption box. Tap on it to link a reel.

2. Select the reel you want to link. Only one reel can be selected at a time.

3. Give your linked reel a title. This reel's title will only be displayed on the linked reel. You can change or remove the title at any time. Note: Your reel's title must be more than 15 words.

4. Tap OK, then share.

Once a creator has linked reels together, a new navigation button will appear on the left side of the video below. Clicking on it will take you to the next reel in the series.
