When Tamil's most popular star Vijay entered active politics and Ajith Kumar turned his attention to the racing track, the question that arose was who would succeed them. Although there is no immediate answer to that, the star who is most likely to rise to that popularity among the new generation is Sivakarthikeyan. He achieved the first 300 crore club achievement of his career with his last release Amaran. Now, Sivakarthikeyan is proving his star value to the Tamil film industry through the advance bookings he is getting for his next film.

The film is Madrasi, written and directed by AR Murugadoss. The film is releasing tomorrow. According to the figures of Cinetrack, a leading tracker in Tamil Nadu, the film has sold 2.2 lakh tickets through advance bookings from 362 theaters tracked in Tamil Nadu. It has earned 3.73 crores through this. This is the figure till 10 pm last night. That is, two days before the release. They have also given the bookings received by recent major films in Tamil at the same time.

According to this, the bookings received by Madrasi are higher than those of Rayan, Thangalan and Kangua. Retro is at the top of the list. The film has earned 5.81 crores with two days left before the release. Second is Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran and third is Kamal Haasan-Shankar team's Indian 2. If it gets positive reviews, Madrasi will become a film that will raise Sivakarthikeyan's star value one step further.
