A Chinese company has gained attention by promising cash prizes to employees who lose weight. A Shenzhen-based technology company has offered its employees a cash prize if they lose weight. According to a report by the South China Morning Post, Arashi Vision Inc., also known as Insta360, has launched a 'Million Yuan Weight Loss Challenge' among its employees. The prize money is one million yuan (approximately Rs. 1,23,43,643).

However, this is not the first time that the company is conducting such a challenge. It has been running such a challenge since 2022 to encourage employees to eat well, exercise and follow a healthy lifestyle. Reports also say that this time too, there was active participation from employees.

The rules for the competition are simple, any employee can register for it. They are entitled to 500 yuan (approximately Rs. 6,171.82) for every 0.5 kg they lose. However, there is a fine for gaining weight. The fine is 800 yuan. However, the company revealed that no fine has been imposed on anyone so far.

The challenge has been successful in all the previous years with a large participation. Those who lost weight also received money. This time, the best competitor was 20-year-old Xie Yaqi. She lost 20 kg in 90 days. She received 20,000 yuan (approximately Rs. 2,46,872.87) and was also named the weight loss champion.
