Delhi: India-Pakistan relations are going through their worst phase in recent times. The Pahalgam terror attack and India's response through Operation Sindoor were a big discussion at the international level. The support received by India from international countries has dealt a heavy blow to Pakistan. Now, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have entered into a defense agreement. While Pakistan considers the agreement with Saudi Arabia as a major diplomatic victory against India, India is also closely monitoring the situation.

The agreement states that any attack on either country will be considered an attack on both countries. However, this has been clarified without mentioning the name of any country. This is a NATO-style defense agreement. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have had informal defense cooperation for decades. However, the new agreement is being seen as a move to formalize the defense relationship between the two countries.

The question that arises is whether Saudi Arabia will take a stand against India and side with Pakistan if India and Pakistan again move towards conflict. However, defense experts and geopolitical analysts say that this does not mean that Saudi Arabia will be ready for a direct war with India according to the new agreement. This is because Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are joining hands after Israel's attack on Qatar targeting Hamas. Therefore, it is assessed that Saudi Arabia is trying to send a strong warning to Israel through this. Israel's moves against countries such as Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Qatar are causing great concern among Arab countries.
