Influenza spreads in Japan

 

 

Influenza is spreading in Japan. The number of infected people has increased significantly. According to the Ministry of Health, more than 4,000 people have been hospitalized in recent weeks.

The disease is most severe in Okinawa, Tokyo and Kagoshima. Many schools, kindergartens and childcare centers have been closed nationwide as the virus spreads rapidly among children. Authorities have urged the public and tourists to get vaccinated.
