Following the death of children in India after taking cough medicine, the World Health Organization has warned of three cough syrups. The warning was about special batches of Sreesan Pharmaceuticals' Coldrif, Rednex Pharmaceuticals' Respifresh TR, and Shape Pharma's ReLife. The WHO has asked authorities in countries to immediately inform the health agency if the drugs in these batches are found.
The news agency reported that the World Health Organization has warned that the use of these syrups can cause life-threatening diseases. The government had earlier cancelled the manufacturing license of Sreesan Pharmaceuticals.
