President Draupadi Murmu reached Sabarimala on Wednesday after climbing the 18th step from Pampa to offer prayers. The President reached the shrine in a Gurkha vehicle of the Devaswom Board.
The President, who left Thiruvananthapuram in the morning, landed in a helicopter at Pramadham at around 8.40 am. He then travelled by road for about two hours to reach Pampa. He then took a bath in Pampa, packed his bags and climbed the hill. He reached the shrine in about six special Gurkha vehicles that had conducted a trial run earlier.
