Football superstar Lionel Messi and the Argentina football team will not come to Kerala next month. One of the sponsors, Anto Agustin, admitted on social media that FIFA permission was not obtained to hold the match.

The announcement from the beginning was that the World Cup-winning Argentina team would play at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi in November. Although renovation work had begun at the Kochi stadium, it could not be completed on time.
