Explosion at supermarket in Mexico: 23 people tragically die

 

 

A fire following an explosion at a supermarket in Mexico has killed 23 people, including children. About a dozen people were injured. The incident took place in Hermosillo, the capital of the northern Mexican state of Sonora.

The tragedy occurred during celebrations related to the Day of the Dead, one of the country's main festivals. Sonora state governor Alfonso Durazo said in a video message that the tragedy that occurred on the day of the celebration has plunged the country into grief.
