Nurse sentenced to life in prison for killing 10 patients to reduce workload in Germany

 

 

A nurse has been sentenced to life in prison in Germany for killing 10 patients and attempting to kill 27 others to reduce workload. The court ruling also said that the crimes committed by the 44-year-old nurse were particularly serious. The court found that the accused nurse injected large amounts of narcotics or painkillers into elderly patients with the aim of reducing the workload on night shifts.

The incident took place at a clinic in Würselen, near Acher, Germany, between December 2023 and May 2024. The murders were committed by administering excessive amounts of painkillers.
