A female doctor arrested in Faridabad in connection with the seizure of a large cache of explosives is said to be responsible for forming the women's wing of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Dr. Shaheen Shahid, a native of Lucknow, was arrested the other day. Shaheen is said to be a colleague of Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, who was arrested in Faridabad. Both work at Al Falah Medical College in Faridabad.
Guns were found in Shaheen's car in the incident where 2,900 kg of explosives were found. Delhi Police sources say that Shaheen is one of those who took the responsibility of forming Jamaat-ul-Momineen, the women's wing of Jaish-e-Mohammed, in India.
