Red Fort blast: Dr. Umar confirmed as the driver of the car that exploded

 

 

DNA tests have revealed that Dr. Umar Nabi was the driver of the car that caused the explosion in front of the Red Fort. Media reports quoted authorities as saying that Umar's samples matched his mother's DNA sample.

Another car in the name of Dr. Umar Nabi was found by the investigation team in Faridabad, Haryana. The red EcoSport car is believed to have been used by the terrorists arrested the previous day. A friend of Umar Nabi, who is a doctor, has been taken into custody for questioning.
