Kerala High Court says accidents are increasing at zebra crossings. In the last one month alone, 901 violations were registered related to zebra crossings. The court said that every life is precious.

Heavy fines should be imposed on vehicles violating the law at zebra crossings. The court clarified that it is a bad driving culture. Private buses are violating the law by saying that there is no time. Violation of the law by private buses is unacceptable.

The Motor Vehicles Department told the court that 860 pedestrians have lost their lives so far this year. The High Court replied that strict action should be taken. The court also said that pedestrians cannot be pushed to death.
