The death toll in Sri Lanka due to Cyclone Ditva has passed 100. The cyclone caused the most damage in the central and eastern regions of Sri Lanka. Reports say that about 200,000 people in 20 districts of Sri Lanka have been affected by the rains.
About 30 people are missing in the Badulla and Nuwara Eliya areas. There are reports that more than 3,000 houses have been damaged and rail and road traffic has been disrupted. About 50,000 people have been shifted to temporary shelters.
