Heavy rains in Chennai; Normal life disrupted

 

 

Heavy rains in Chennai brought normal life to a standstill. North and central Chennai were waterlogged. Corporation officials are continuing rescue operations. Reports say that the water level in Perambur and Vyasarpadi areas has risen to four feet.

People living in low-lying areas are unable to come out. Steps have been taken to provide them with water and food packets.
