Pakistan's Lahore University of Management Sciences has taken an important decision in the academic field. The university is gaining attention by introducing a Sanskrit course in its curriculum from this month. This is the first time since partition that a Pakistani university has started formally teaching Sanskrit in classrooms.
Sanskrit studies were initially conducted as a weekend program for students, researchers, lawyers, academicians, etc. Considering the excellent response received, the university has started a long-term course, according to media reports quoting a university representative.
