Messi's visit to Kolkata: West Bengal Sports Minister Arup Biswas resigns

 

 

West Bengal Sports Minister Arup Biswas has resigned after ordering an inquiry into the clashes that broke out during Lionel Messi's 'Goat Tour' event at the Salt Lake Stadium. In his resignation letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he said that he was resigning to ensure a free and impartial investigation. Mamata Banerjee has reportedly accepted Arup's resignation.
