Genz leader's death: Protests erupt again in Bangladesh

 

 

Bangladesh has witnessed widespread protests following the death of student leader Sharif Osman Hadi, who was at the forefront of the Genz protests. Protesters took to the streets of the capital Dhaka and unleashed widespread violence. Several institutions, including media offices, were set on fire. Centers associated with the Awami League were also attacked. There are also reports that the attackers shouted anti-India slogans.

The building housing the offices of leading media houses, Daily Star and Pratham Aloo, was set on fire by attackers. The employees trapped inside were rescued with great difficulty.
