In Sudan, where the civil war continues, the Rapid Support Forces, a rebel force, massacred more than a thousand people in a refugee camp last April. The report was released by the United Nations Human Rights Department. The UN report was prepared based on the testimonies of survivors of the massacre and brutal torture.

It was also found that the rebel forces had blocked the distribution of food to the camp for months before the massacre that took place in the Zamzam camp in Darfur on April 11-13. About half a million people who had fled the civil war had sought refuge in the camp.
