Police in Ontario, Canada, have charged a driver who was traveling with a massive pile of ice on top of his truck. Other travelers who were traveling on the highway near Barrie saw the dangerous pile of ice and reported it to the police.
The pile of ice, which could fall at any moment, posed a major threat to other vehicles on the road. If it had slipped and fallen, it could have caused a major accident. When the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped the truck and inspected it, they found a large block of ice on top of the trailer.
The driver was charged with violating road safety laws. Police clarified that it is the driver's responsibility to remove snow and ice from the vehicle before putting it on the road. Police advised truck drivers and other vehicle owners to inspect their vehicles during the cold season. Authorities warned that violating this law could result in fines and major accidents.
