The British government has announced extensive benefits for young people who have grown up in the care system in England and are leaving it as adults (care leavers). In addition to ensuring free medicines and dental and eye treatments until the age of 25, the government has announced that it will also introduce job reservations for them in the National Health Service.
Under the new decision, those who have left the care system will not have to pay for medicines prescribed by doctors until the age of 25.
