Another mob lynching in Bangladesh

 

 

 

 

A youth was killed by a mob in Bangladesh on suspicion of theft. Amrit Mondal (Samrat-29) was brutally murdered in an attack that took place in Rajbari, Panchsha on Wednesday night.

The next incident comes a week after Deepu Chandradas was killed in a mob attack in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, on charges of blasphemy. Condemning the murder, the head of the interim government, Muhammad Yunus, said that there was no communal motive in the incident.

Locals allege that a criminal gang led by Amrit is involved in theft. They beat Amrit up on the charge of stealing money from a neighbor. The police took him to the hospital, but to no avail.
