Tensions between two religious groups have intensified in Nepal. Communal clashes broke out in the Parsa and Dhanusha districts of Nepal. This is an area bordering Bihar. As the tension in Nepal intensified, India closed its borders. Nepal also banned travel through the border.

According to media reports, the clashes in Nepal began after a video insulting another religion was circulated on social media.
