Vijay's party gets whistle symbol; Kamal Haasan gets battery torch

 

 

The political party formed by actor Vijay, Tamilaka Vetri Kazhagam ('TVK'), has adopted the whistle as its symbol. The Central Election Commission has approved the whistle as its symbol. TVK candidates will contest the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections with the whistle symbol. TVK approached the Central Election Commission on November 11 last year, requesting the symbol.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Mayyam has also been granted a symbol. The battery torch is the symbol of MNM.
