Seven countries, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt, announced in a joint statement that they would join US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace. On Wednesday, Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed to join the Board of Peace.

Saudi Arabia responded that the coalition of Muslim-majority countries - Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan and Qatar - supports a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and aims for a just and lasting peace.
