Sexual assault: Indian-origin man charged in Lethbridge

 

 

A case of sexual assault has been filed against an Indian-origin man in Lethbridge. The investigation is ongoing after a 12-year-old girl complained to police that she had been sexually assaulted. The suspect in the case is a 22-year-old Indian-origin man. He has been charged with sexual assault.

According to Lethbridge police, on April 24, 2025, during a search of a hotel in the city, a man and six children aged 12 to 14 were found inside the room. Subsequent investigation revealed that he had met the children through social media. After taking them to various places, he was taken to a hotel room.
Police also say that the children were given alcohol there. The alleged sexual assault also took place here. He later evaded police but was recently caught by police. The man, identified as Yuvraj Singh, was arrested at Vancouver Airport.
