The vehicle challan system has been made more stringent under the Central Motor Vehicles Act. If a person receives five or more challans in a year, his driving license will be cancelled. The fine must be paid within 45 days of receiving the challan. All vehicles with outstanding challans will be impounded.

No other service will be allowed through the Parivahan website except for paying taxes.
