Sunetra Pawar took oath as the first woman Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

 

 

Sunetra Pawar, wife of late NCP leader Ajit Pawar, took oath as the first Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Following the resignation of Ajit Pawar, Sunetra took over as Deputy Chief Minister. Sunethra was elected as the party leader at the NCP Legislative Assembly meeting held on Saturday.

The name of the elected leader of the Legislative Assembly, Bhujbal Sunethra, was rejected. Other leaders followed suit and the MLAs unanimously criticized Sunethra.
