Israel opens Rafah crossing in southern Gaza after two years

 

 

After two years, the Rafah crossing connecting Gaza with Egypt has been opened. Israel said it will ensure traffic in both directions with restrictions. The move is in accordance with the terms of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The Israeli military had stated that only limited Palestinian travel in both directions would be allowed.
