Argument over alcohol: Mother arrested for shooting daughter

Dallas: A mother has been arrested for shooting her daughter following an argument over alcohol. The tragic incident took place on Monday evening in East Oak Cliff, Dallas. 49-year-old Shanika Battle shot and killed her daughter, 28-year-old Tabatha Jones.

An argument over Tabatha's mother taking alcohol resulted in the murder.

Tabatha, who was shot, was taken to the hospital but could not be saved. The mother told police that she only pulled out the gun to scare her daughter and did not shoot. However, police found a gun and a pair of headphones in the house and arrested Shanika on charges of murder.
