Illinois: Police have arrested a teacher in Illinois, USA, for giving diarrhea medicine to children at a daycare without their consent. The teacher has been identified as Yisel J. Juarez, a teacher at The Learning Experience in St. Charles.

Police confirmed that she gave the medicine to three children aged two or younger. She gave the medicine as 'candy' to get the children sent home early and to reduce her workload.

The information came to light when parents who noticed that their children were constantly having diarrhea filed a complaint. Following this, the daycare director fired her from her job and the police filed a case.

The parents said that the children suffered health problems such as dehydration and stomach aches after being given the medicine.

Six misdemeanor cases have been filed against the teacher for behaving in a manner that endangers the lives of children and attempting to cause physical harm.
