Film organizations have taken a crucial decision to reduce the workload in the Malayalam film industry. The current 16-hour working hours of film workers have been reduced to 12 hours. The call sheet will record 12 hours of work. The decision was made in a discussion held by the producers' organization with representatives of various film organizations.
The film industry's technical experts' organization, including FEFKA, had been continuously demanding this. The producers' organization assured that there would be no reduction in wages based on working hours.
