Former child star Blake Garrett (33), who became a favorite of audiences worldwide with the famous film 'How To Eat Fried Worms' (2006), passed away on Sunday, February 8.
Blake's cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed. The family is waiting for the medical examiner's report. Blake's mother Carol revealed that Blake had been in severe physical pain in the days leading up to his death.
He was admitted to the emergency room in Oklahoma last week and was diagnosed with 'Shingles'.
His mother concluded that Blake may have self-medicated to reduce the severe physical pain and that his death may have been a tragic accident.
Blake, who entered the acting profession at the age of 10 through plays, came to attention through the show 'Barney's Colorful World'. In 2006, the group he was part of also won the Best Young Actor Award for their performance in the film 'How To Eat Fried Worms'.
Blake, who had completely recovered from his alcohol addiction three years ago, was living a happy life in Oklahoma.
