A Chinese company has launched a new humanoid robot that resembles humans in appearance and expression. Shanghai-based startup DroidUp has launched the new humanoid robot named 'Moya'.

Unlike ordinary robots, Moya has 'warm skin' with a temperature of 32 to 36 degrees Celsius. This gives the feel of a living body instead of the cold of metal. This robot can move with 92% accuracy in human gait. Moya can also monitor people's movements using its sophisticated camera eyes.

Its makers claim that Moya can understand human emotions. This is possible through artificial intelligence (AI) that can analyze facial expressions and voice changes in speech. The company calls it 'biomimetic' because it mimics human biology. Moya was unveiled at the 'Shangjiang Robotics Valley' in Shanghai, a hub for robotics technology.

While many robots can currently walk and do household chores, Moya's human-like physical warmth and ability to recognize emotions set it apart. Experts believe that such robots could be used in fields such as healthcare, education and customer service.
