The central government has issued a strict advisory to Indians to leave Iran as soon as possible

 

 

Amid the growing fear of Iran-US war, the central government has asked Indian citizens in Iran to leave the country as soon as possible. Keeping in mind the safety of their citizens, the Indian embassy has issued a high alert advisory. The government has advised Indian citizens and people of Indian origin in Iran to be extremely cautious and to stay away from places where protests or demonstrations are taking place. Earlier in January, India had issued a similar warning when the Iranian regime took action against protesters.

The embassy advised those preparing to leave the country to always carry their travel documents such as passports and identity cards.
