US attack in Indian Ocean

 

 

 

The Iranian warship Dena was sunk near Sri Lanka by a submarine from Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, according to rumors. The US has a military base in Diego Garcia. Sri Lankan military sources say that an Ohio-class submarine from here regularly patrols the area. This submarine is believed to be behind the attack.

The ship was sunk 74 km from the Sri Lankan port city of Galle while returning from an international fleet review and naval exercise in Visakhapatnam.
