Police security for LPG movement and distribution in Maharashtra

 

 

Amid the ongoing acute cooking gas supply crisis, police security has been provided for the movement and distribution of LPG in Maharashtra. In addition, the government has also directed to facilitate the supply of kerosene in villages. Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said that the police security is being provided with the aim of ensuring safe travel in the context of stopping vehicles carrying cooking gas and encroachments on distributors.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against 23 people in the state for hoarding cooking gas. 18 people have been arrested by the police. A vigilance unit has been formed at the district level to monitor and resolve the disruptions in supply. Inspections are being conducted across the state under their leadership.
