Heavy rain and wind in the UAE; Waterlogging on roads

 

 

 

The UAE experienced wind, rain and lightning for about two hours from Thursday midnight to Friday morning. Massive waterlogging formed on the roads. Trees were uprooted, the roofs of some hotels were blown off by the strong winds, and billboards collapsed. Hundreds of vehicles were submerged in water.

The Dubai-Sharjah road was submerged in water. The service roads of the city's main road, Sheikh Zayed Road, were flooded.
