Russia and Ukraine exchange prisoners under UAE mediation

 

 

Russia and Ukraine exchange prisoners under UAE mediation. 175 people from each side were released. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that this is the third prisoner exchange this year.

Most of those returned had been in Russian custody since 2022. They include soldiers, border guards and seven civilians. The exchange took place after a 32-hour ceasefire announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Easter.
