US-Iran war: Trump extends ceasefire indefinitely

Washington: US President Donald Trump has announced that he has extended the ceasefire with Iran until the talks are concluded. Trump stated that the decision was made at the request of Pakistan and that the ceasefire will continue until Iran officially presents a unified proposal.

The unexpected move comes as the two-week ceasefire period is set to end on Tuesday. Trump has instructed the US military to continue the blockade of Iranian ports while the talks are in progress.

The firm stance that the bombing will resume if the talks fail remains unchanged. Meanwhile, a senior US delegation will soon leave for Pakistan for talks.
