Medical marijuana; US relaxes rules

 

 

The Trump administration is making it easier for Americans who use marijuana for health reasons to do so. The government has removed marijuana from Schedule 1. Schedule 1 includes drugs that are not allowed for medical use, such as heroin and methamphetamine. The federal government also included marijuana in this group until Thursday.

Cannabis products approved by federal and state agencies will now be moved to Schedule 3. The third schedule includes ketamine and anabolic steroids, which are considered for medical use.
