Lakshadweep visit: Major relaxations announced

 

 

The island administration has announced major relaxations in the conditions for visiting Lakshadweep. The main change is that a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) and a local sponsor are no longer required to visit the island. Seaplane service has also been allowed to improve travel between the islands. The first seaplane service with an extensive route in the country is being started in Lakshadweep.

The new changes are part of raising the tourism sector of the island to international standards. This decision will help attract more tourists to major islands like Bangaram, Agatti and Kavaratti.
