Rupee depreciates against dollar; hits all-time low of 96.20

 

 

The rupee depreciated on a daily basis. It touched an all-time low of 96.20 against the US dollar during Monday's trade. The rupee has lost 5.5 percent since the start of the Iran war.

The main reasons for the decline are the conflict in the Middle East and the volatility in crude oil prices.

The rupee hit a record low of 96.20 when the market opened on Monday. It was down 0.2 percent from the previous close.
