Texas couple arrested for serving alcohol to minors

Texas: A couple from McAllen, Texas, has been arrested for serving alcohol to minors after a high school prom dance party. McAllen police arrested John Michael (60) and Tina Marie McIntyre (55).

Authorities conducted the search after receiving a tip that minors were drinking alcohol at a home.

When police arrived, a boy smelled of alcohol coming from the house. When police entered, they heard the teenagers whispering to each other, "The police are here, don't make any noise," and "Hide the alcohol," according to the police report.

During the search, several alcohol bottles and cans were found in the back of the house, and 22 16- and 17-year-olds were found gathered there. The children admitted to police that the couple who owned the house had provided the children with alcohol and arranged for it.

The couple, who were arrested on charges of providing alcohol to minors, were later released on bail on a $4,000 bond. Police have also taken legal action against 22 children who attended the party.
