Olympian Randhir Singh passes away

 

 

Raja Randhir Singh, Olympian, India's first shooting gold medallist at the Asian Games and former Secretary General of the Indian Olympic Association, has passed away. He was an Arjuna Awardee and a member of the International Olympic Committee.

Randhir Singh was the first Indian to be elected president of the Olympic Council of Asia. Singh stepped down from the post two years ago due to ill health.
